9th Convocation Ceremony

We are excited to announce that the 9th Convocation Ceremony of our esteemed university was a huge success. Our graduates have made us proud once again, and we are thrilled for them!

The ceremony was held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, and we had the privilege of witnessing the graduation of more than 800 students. The event was conducted in person, following all the necessary safety protocols.

The ceremony began with the academic procession. The chief guest, Governor Punjab (Mr. Baligh Ur Rehman), presented an incredible address emphasizing the significance of information and urging students to participate in politics and research. During his address, he stated that there are 80 universities in Punjab and that he could not attend all convocations, but he chose GIFT University because of Mr. Muhammad Anwar Dar’s aspirations. He values entrepreneurial attitude, character development, and life skills. Furthermore, he loves the university’s resources, such as financial aid for approximately 33% of students and a distinct women’s centre. He admired the orange and blue students pursuing degrees and the GIFT Anthem lyrics. He appreciated the notion of “Converting Knowledge into Practical Experience” Finally, he underlined the value of learning and encouraged students to participate in politics and research.

Moreover, Chairman Muhammad Anwar Dar announced 50 lakh rupees in initial funds solely for applied research, benefiting students, teachers, and regional industries. He also emphasized the three pillars of the university: Theoretical, Practical, and Ethical.

It was inspiring to see the university’s students play such important roles in organising the event, from the convocation organizing, to the hi-tea to the media coverage and beyond.

The highlight of the event was the conferring of degrees and awards to the graduating students. The proud parents and family members of the graduates watched as their loved ones received their degrees on stage.

The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by the graduates over the years, and we are proud to have been a part of their journey. We wish them much success in their future endeavours.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the faculty members, staff, and volunteers who made the event a success. Without their hard work and dedication, this wouldn’t have been possible.

Finally, we would like to congratulate the batches of Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020 on their remarkable achievement, and we hope to see them continue to succeed and make a positive impact on the world.
