Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) – May 2025

A meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) was held on Wednesday, May 01, 2025, at GIFT University, Gujranwala. The meeting was chaired by the Rector, GIFT University, Prof. Dr. Shahid Qureshi in the presence of distinguished external and internal experts.

The meeting was honored by the special participation of Mr. Muhammad Anwar Dar, Chairman, Board of Governors, GIFT University, who emphasized the importance of promoting applied research that not only meets academic standards but also brings practical solutions to real-world challenges. He encouraged faculty members to align their research with industry needs and societal demands, echoing the University's vision: "To deliver transformational education with an ethical and entrepreneurial mindset, fostering socio-economic development and creating a positive social impact."

The renowned external experts Prof. Dr. Mansoor Sarwar, Vice-Chancellor Qarshi University Lahore, Prof. Dr. Waseem Anwar, Professor of English & Director - International Center for Pakistani Writing in English, Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, and Dr. Naumana Amjad, Professor and Former Dean, Social Sciences NUR International University, Lahore, provided insightful and constructive recommendations on students' thesis topics in alignment with the University's vision. They also commended GIFT University's steadfast commitment to quality education, research excellence, and entrepreneurial innovation.
