Rescue 1122 Mock Exercise at GIFT University | Incident Response Drill | GIFT University
Rescue 1122 Gujranwala, in collaboration with GIFT University, and in compliance with the Punjab Emergency Service Department, successfully conducted a Mock Exercise on the Incident Command Management System (ICMS) on 22 April 2026. The exercise was designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and coordination among departments. The rescue team established three operational camps: Incident Command Post (ICP) Logistics Area Rest Area The Incident Command Post maintained active communication with Punjab Government Police (ERT), Motorway Police, and Gujranwala District Management to ensure a coordinated response. The drill featured a firefighting operation to control a simulated fire incident near the hostel, followed by a rescue operation in Block-2, evacuating individuals safely from the third floor to the ground. Emergency resources deployed included: 3 Fire Brigade vehicles 1 Lifter 2 Water Tanker vehicles 3 Ambulances 2 Motorbikes The activity witnessed active participation from Supervisors, Security Staff, Cleaners, Gardeners, Campus Affairs Officers, Services Department, Café Staff, and students. This exercise reflects a strong commitment to safety, preparedness, and effective emergency response on campus.
