    Program Description:

The MBA Executive program is intended for mid-career professionals who want to accelerate their career progression by acquiring professional management skills. The program is offered in the evening so that the executives can simultaneously study and meet their professional obligations.

The program is designed to balance theory and practice, and analytical thinking and action. It provides students with important management tools and the ability to apply basic concepts to a variety of industries and career paths. The goal is to prepare students for upper management and executive-level positions by developing key managerial competencies—including critical thinking, systems thinking, team building, decision making, and leadership—that can be applied in any type of enterprise.

The duration of this MBA program is 2-years. It consists of 4 semesters and includes 19 core and 3 elective courses. The elective courses enable the students to specialize in a particular area of study. The curriculum is regularly updated and revised to ensure that it always meets the ever changing needs of today’s organizations.

The diverse origins and backgrounds of the faculty members and students ensure a broad perspective and cross-discipline input. The program encourages lively interaction between students and faculty, and stimulates the sharing of knowledge through group work. The students’ learning experience is enhanced by corporate work projects, in-class discussions, and presentations that build on their previous experience.

    MBA Concentrations:

The Executive MBA program is flexible and offers the students a choice to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills in a particular stream of management. The students have to complete 3 courses from their chosen are of concentration. The following areas of concentration are available to the students:

    1. Marketing
    2. Finance
    3. Human Resource Management
    4. Banking & Finance
    Project Work:

Following completion of the course work, students are required to prepare and present a project. The projects involve preparing feasibility for a new business venture or developing solutions to major real life managerial problems. Students work on the projects in teams of 4-5 students each. Each project is conducted under the guidance of a designated Project Supervisor.

A project must be original and pertinent to current business theory and practice. It should also be compatible with the student's current, future, or desired professional responsibilities. Before starting work on any project, students should secure the approval of the project topic by project supervisor. It is an integrative exercise, which gives participants the opportunity to apply the concepts and techniques learned throughout the program to the analysis of a concrete project.

The outcome of project work is a formal written report and an oral presentation in front of a graduate committee.

    Eligibility:

This program is intended for working executives. The minimum entry requirements are a bachelor degree with 14 years of education and 4 years of full-time work experience. Graduates in any one of the following disciplines with minimum aggregate of 45 % are considered for admission:
